Trump to nominate Andrew Wheeler as next EPA administrator

Present Trump said he will nominate Andrew Wheeler as the next administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Wheeler, who has been serving as acting administrator since July, spoke to NSSGA members at the 2018 Legislative & Policy Forum about regulatory reform and the agency’s policy priorities.

Trump made the announcement Friday during a White House ceremony for Medal of Freedom recipients. He said Wheeler “is going to be made permanent,” adding that “he’s done a fantastic job and I want to congratulate him.” “Congratulations, Andrew,” Trump said.
