Vermeer Corporation announces partnership with U.S. Compost Council to offer one-year complimentary membership

PELLA, IOWA – Vermeer Corporation and the US Composting Council (USCC) are teaming up to give organic waste recycling companies a complimentary one-year membership with the purchase of a new Vermeer horizontal grinder, tub grinder, trommel screen or compost turner*. A membership to the USCC provides organic waste recyclers access to valuable educational resources and training, networking opportunities and better visibility within the compost industry. To qualify for this offer, equipment purchases need to be made by Dec. 31, 2019.

“In recent years, there has been tremendous growth in the composting industry and the USCC is an important resource for anyone getting into the market, as well as recyclers that have been composting for years,” said Jay Sarver, commercial business manager at Vermeer. “The council is the authority on the industry’s best management practices and can help companies become a reputable compost producer as well as improve their efficiencies.”

According to USCC Sustainability Connector, Linda Norris Waldt, the partnership with Vermeer will help further grow and promote the compost industry. “Vermeer provides machinery to many organic waste recycling facilities who are looking to grow their operations and expand into new markets,” she said. “Through this partnership, we can help those recyclers by introducing new ways of recycling.”

To qualify for a complimentary membership, organic waste recyclers should contact their local Vermeer dealer for details.
