Bobcat E20 compact excavator receives 2026 Concrete Contractor Top Products Award
Concrete Contractor, the nationally recognized digital brand serving concrete construction professionals, has named the next-generation Bobcat E20 compact excavator as a recipient of its 2026 Top Products Award, which recognizes the latest innovative tools, equipment and products that transform challenges into success for concrete contractors.
The E20 compact excavator demonstrates that a compact machine can still deliver strong, jobsite-ready performance. With a 1,098-pound rated lift capacity, it offers a 24% increase in arm digging force and 26% more lifting capacity over the blade compared to its predecessor, giving operators the capability to handle more demanding tasks with confidence.
The E20 is designed for versatility, featuring a zero-tail swing design, in-track swing frame and a retractable undercarriage to navigate tight or confined spaces with ease. Enhancements focused on the operator, such as smooth, precise controls, support both comfort and efficiency throughout the workday. For added convenience, an optional enclosed cab with heat further elevates the experience, including features like a Bluetooth® radio, auto idle, auto shift, 3D grab handles and reduced noise levels for a more comfortable operating environment
Other key features of the E20 include a closed-center hydraulic system with a new load-sensing pump and larger boom and blade cylinders to boost digging performance and lift capacity; standard-equipped long arm that increases maximum reach, digging depth and additional dump height; and premium joystick with fingertip controls for precise boom swing and auxiliary movement.
“As concrete contractors work through the challenges of the industry, tool and equipment manufacturers continue to aim at assisting contractors to work as efficiently and productively as possible,” says Jonathan Kozlowski, editor-in-chief of Concrete Contractor. ”The recipients of this year’s Concrete Contractor Top Products award represent this mentality with innovative ideas and practical solutions, challenging the way the job can be done.”
